Handsworth murder investigation arrests made

Detectives investigating the death of a man in Handsworth have arrested three people on suspicion of murder.

Police arrested two men aged 42 and 58 and a woman aged 20 in Handsworth on Friday in connection with the death of Ronald Cheese.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said Mr Cheese, 53, was found dead at a flat in Austin Road on 27 February at about 1300 GMT.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple stab wounds.

Det Insp Inspector Warren Hines said: "We are encouraged by the information we have so far received from the public but would urge anyone who has not yet contacted us to do so.

"What may seem to them as an insignificant piece of information may prove to make all the difference."
