Crash on M6 in West Midlands causes lane closures

Motorists faced delays on the M6 in the West Midlands after a serious accident on the northbound side.

Both the north and southbound carriages of the M6 were closed earlier between junctions 6, Spaghetti Junction, and 7, Great Barr.

They have booth reopened but the Highways Agency warned of long delays in the area.

Ambulance crews said two people had to be taken to hospital after their car collided with another.
