Elvis impersonator admits assaulting James Burton's son

An Elvis Presley impersonator has admitting attacking the son of the real-life star's guitarist.

Michael Cawthray, 43, of Ebberston Road East, Rhos-on-Sea, Conwy, admitted assaulting Jeffrey Burton, whose father James played with Elvis.

He admitted the charge at Warwick Crown Court and will be sentenced at a later date.

The attack happened on 9 January at the European Elvis Championships in Birmingham.

Cawthray will be sentenced in the week beginning 16 May.
