Birmingham stabbing: Second person charged

An 18-year-old man has been charged after the stabbing of a father and son in Birmingham.

Martin Thompson, 53, and his son Edward, 18, were stabbed outside their home in Alvechurch Road, West Heath, on Saturday night

The man, from Ladywood, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon.

A 15-year-old boy has already been charged with two counts of attempted murder.

He was remanded in custody until 31 May on Tuesday.

Mr Thompson was released from hospital while Edward remains in hospital.
