Action over horses grazing illegally in Dudley area

A group looking at the issue of horses grazing on council-owned land could be created by a West Midlands authority.

Dudley Council said it had worked for some time to resolve an ongoing problem of horses left to illegally graze.

A trial service was set up to help deal with stray horses on roads, using police powers and a horse professional to impound strays, the authority said.

It is looking at bringing together a working party to focus on longer-term issues of horses on council-owned land.
