Four hurt in large scale disorder in Birmingham city centre
Four people were injured, three seriously, after reports of fighting between 20 to 30 people in Birmingham city centre in the early hours.
Police said officers were called at about 0115 BST to Essex Street, near the junction with Inge Street.
Two men were later found with serious head and facial injuries. A 17-year-old girl also had a head injury and a 16-year-old girl had a facial injury.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, police said.
A spokesman said detectives are appealing for witnesses.
Det Insp Martin Hurcomb, said: "I'd like to speak to anyone who witnessed the disorder, or indeed anyone who may have been caught up in the violence and suffered an injury."
