Man dies after being hit by car in Edgbaston

A 35-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Birmingham.

The pedestrian was knocked over by a silver Peugeot 106 on the Bristol Road in Edgbaston on Wednesday morning and died in hospital later that day.

A 29-year-old woman from Handsworth, arrested in connection with the incident, has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Police are still appealing for any information relating to the accident at the junction with Sir Harrys Road.
