Woman stabbed in neck in Alum Rock, Birmingham

A 29-year-old woman is in a stable condition in hospital after she was found stabbed in Birmingham.

Police were called to Ludlow Road, in the Alum Rock area of the city, at about 22:50 BST on Tuesday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said the woman had a stab wound to the neck but her injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Officers are treating it as an isolated incident and are speaking to residents to establish what happened.

No arrests have been made and police have asked any witnesses to contact them or Crimestoppers anonymously.
