Consultation over Birmingham binmen 'extended'
A consultation period with Birmingham binmen over proposed changes to pay and conditions has been extended by the council, it said.
Unions representing binmen, who have voted to take industrial action, said workers could lose between £1,000 and £7,000 a year if the changes go ahead.
Consultation was to have ended on 31 October, but it was extended to the middle of November, the council said.
The authority said it had been trying to work out an agreement.
