Driver killed in tree crash named as Adam Johnson

A man who was killed when the car he was driving hit a tree in Wordsley, Stourbridge, has been named by police.

Twenty two-year-old Adam Johnson, from Stourbridge, was confirmed dead at the scene by West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Mr Johnson's Ford Escort hit a tree off Balmoral Road at 23:55 GMT on Friday.

West Midlands Police said no other vehicles were thought to be involved in the collision and are appealing for witnesses.
