August riots: 15 more people arrested in West Midlands

Fifteen more people have been arrested in connection with the August riots in the West Midlands.

Police raided addresses in Wolverhampton and Birmingham where they also recovered evidence.

They said the total number of people arrested in connection with the riots now stands at 686.

Det Ch Insp Steve Reed said many offenders had not yet been tracked down but "it is only a matter of time before we come knocking on your door".

He said: "This investigation simply will not end until every avenue to identify and arrest suspects has been exhausted.

"The communities of the West Midlands have very clearly told us that they want justice to be done and we are committed to making sure that happens."

The police are planning to release another 32 images of people wanted in connection with the disorder.
