Ricardo Balogun gets life sentence for Moseley stabbing

A 49-year-old from Birmingham must serve at least 17 years in prison for murder, after he stabbed a man in the chest and wounded a woman.

Colin Madden, 38, died of stab wounds at his home in Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham, in November 2010.

Ricardo Balogun from Trafalgar Road, Moseley, was convicted of murder at Birmingham Crown Court on 11 November.

Balogun was sentenced to life, plus six years to run concurrently for wounding the woman in the same attack.

The sentence followed a two-week trial.
