Birmingham woman killed in A38(M) three-car crash

A woman has died after a crash in the centre of Birmingham in which seven people were injured.

Mary Parker, 83, from Hodge Hill in the city, was a passenger in a grey Mini Countryman on the A38(M) Aston Expressway on Saturday evening.

Another woman in the car was badly hurt in the crash, near the junction with Park Circus.

One person in a red Jaguar was also badly hurt. Four people received minor injuries.

A silver BMW was the other car involved in the crash.

The A38(M) was partly closed for three hours after the collision, at about 18:40 GMT.
