Kristiana Logina: Jury out in Harborne scalding death

The jury has retired to consider its verdict in the case of a Birmingham magistrate and his former girlfriend accused of killing a two-year-old girl.

Kristiana Logina died two weeks after being scalded in a shower at her home in Harborne, Birmingham, in February 2010.

Her mother Eva Logina, 25, and Rashpal Chana, 49, who served as a magistrate, both of Smethwick, deny manslaughter.

Ms Logina also denies a charge of child cruelty at Nottingham Crown Court.
