Birmingham city centre cannabis farm in empty shop
A large cannabis farm has been discovered in Birmingham city centre.
West Midlands Police said they found up to 500 mature plants, worth £300,000, in an empty shop near New Street station.
The plants were being grown in tents on two floors of the building, using sophisticated lighting and heating systems.
Det Con Jim Farrell, from West Midlands Police, said "It was an accidental find - we were here on other matters."
The police said no arrests had been made in connection with the find.
