Man released over M6 crash probe
A man, arrested after a pile-up on the M6 near Birmingham, has been released on police bail.
A four-year-old girl died and seven others were injured in the crash which involved a lorry and four cars at about 00:30 GMT on Sunday.
The girl, from Birmingham, was with her family travelling on the southbound carriageway when the accident happened.
West Midlands Police said a 63-year-old man from Sunderland was arrested and has since been released on bail.
Following the accident, the southbound motorway between junctions 4, the M42 and 4a at Coleshill was closed for more than six hours.
