    A disabled man says he was made to feel like a "piece of furniture" after he had to be carried out of a Birmingham pub in his wheelchair because of health and safety.

    Troy Hitchins carried downstairs out of a pub

    Troy Hitchins, 20, who has cerebral palsy was at the King's Head in Harborne on Saturday night.

    He'd been carried up the stairs by his friends because the lift was broken but was told by staff he couldn't stay as he was deemed a fire hazard.

    There's a warning from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham that budget cuts could lead to "avoidable" deaths.

    At a meeting yesterday, the hospital trust chair Jacqui Smith, said that the planned £60m worth' of savings would lead to wards closing, ending services, and making redundancies.
