Halesowen man Michael Wathen on trial for wife's murder

The trial of a 67-year-old man accused of murdering his wife has started in the West Midlands.

Michael Wathen, of Brier Mill Road, Halesowen, denies murdering his wife Margaret by strangling her at their home earlier this year.

Mrs Wathen, 63, was found dead by police when they were called to an address on the Halesmere estate on 3 March 2011.

The trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court started on Monday.
