Wedding dresses stolen from Wolverhampton shop

More than 30 wedding dresses have been stolen from a West Midlands shop.

The break-in at Patricia Gowns in Lower Green, Wolverhampton, was discovered on Wednesday morning.

Owner Patricia Onions said she was in a "state of extreme shock" after about 50 wedding, evening and bridesmaids dresses were taken.

She added it would not affect brides having gowns designed specifically for them and manufactured dresses which were coming in would arrive.

The owner said: "Gowns that I have already got in with brides' names on, they are also in a very secure storage situation."

She said the showroom at the site has been officially open since the end of October following a refurbishment.

"Apart from the ones that they left straddled on the path and the road on their exit, every single dress in my showroom was removed."
