Wind: Birmingham roofs and trees damaged

A corrugated sheeting roof was blown into a road and trees fell down during strong gusts of wind in Birmingham.

West Midlands Fire Service said Great Lister Street in Nechells closed for a time when the roof was blown off a tool hire firm premises.

A house roof in nearby Kellett Road was also damaged when the wind blew off a section at about 12:45 GMT.

Two trees in Hall Green were blown down during the gusts, which were recorded as up to 45mph.
