Highways Agency warns motorists of work on M5 link road

Motorists in the West Midlands are being warned of possible disruption.

The Highways Agency is starting 10 weeks of drainage work on the M5 junction 1 link road to the M6 junction 8 near West Bromwich.

The agency said there will be narrow lanes running in both directions during the day with some lane closures overnight.

Wayne Norris from the agency said: "Some delays will be inevitable as this is a very busy stretch of motorway."

A 40mph speed restriction will also be in place.
