City and Sandwell hospitals closed to visitors due to norovirus

All wards at two West Midlands hospitals have been closed to visitors following an outbreak of norovirus.

Sandwell Hospital in West Bromwich and City Hospital in Birmingham have been affected by the winter vomiting bug.

Only in exceptional circumstances will visitors be allowed in, Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust said.

Walsall Manor Hospital was closed to visitors on Monday due to an outbreak of the virus. Outpatient appointments were unaffected.
