Walsall girl Caitlin Wetton's father accused of her manslaughter

A man has been charged with killing his daughter who died nearly eight years after being injured as a baby.

Caitlin Wetton, seven, died in hospital in July 2010, as a result of injuries sustained at her Walsall home in 2002, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

Paul Slattery, 32, of Rowan Crescent, Methil Leven, Fife, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court accused of Caitlin's manslaughter.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 13 March.
