Wolverhampton murder probe victim named as Jonas Daraska

A man whose body was discovered at a derelict property in the West Midlands has been named by police.

Jonas Daraska, 40, from the All Saints area of Wolverhampton, was found at an address on Hospital Street in the city on Monday morning.

Officers attended the property after receiving information which suggested a man had been assaulted.

A 32-year-old man, arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder, continues to be questioned by police.

Det Ch Insp Andy Bullman, of West Midlands Police, said: "We have a team of detectives dedicated to working on the investigation piecing together the events of the weekend.

"I would still appeal for anyone who knows anything about Mr Daraska's whereabouts at the weekend to get in touch with us as soon as possible to help with the investigation."
