Woman and brother attacked at Dudley house

A West Midlands woman has been treated in hospital after being attacked by robbers who broke into her house and also assaulted her brother.

Three men took jewellery worth about £15,000 after breaking into the home on Selborne Road, Dudley, and forcing the 19-year-old woman from her bed.

She was dragged around the house and repeatedly punched while her 18-year-old brother was pushed down the stairs.

The woman suffered facial injuries in the incident early on Saturday.

Det Insp Nigel Smith, from Dudley CID, said: "Both of the victims have been deeply shaken by their ordeal and the young lady suffered nasty facial injuries that needed hospital treatment.

"These men were not afraid to use violence to get what they wanted."

The men demanded money and jewellery and a gold chain was snatched from around the woman's neck before the three offenders got into a silver car, police said.
