Low Hill cyclist dies after Wolverhampton bus crash

A cyclist has died after being involved in a crash with a bus in Wolverhampton.

The 19-year-old man, from Low Hill, was airlifted to hospital after the collision at Fiveways roundabout, at about 17:00 BST on Friday.

He was taken to the major trauma centre at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he died in the early hours.

Police have spoken to the driver of the single decker bus but no arrests have been made.

Sgt Ferris Hatheson, from West Midlands Police, said: "This was a tragic incident in which a young man has lost his life.

"I would ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, and has not yet spoken to my officers, get in touch."
