A man wanted in connection with a murder inquiry in the West Midlands has been named by police.

Officers found the body of Anthony Paul Brown, 45, on Friday after calling at the house in Kingsbury Road, Erdington.

West Midlands Police said they want to trace Mr Brown's neighbour, 21-year-old Michael Herrington, after he failed to return home.

A 27-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Saturday was still being questioned by detectives.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on the body of Mr Brown on Monday.

Det Ch Insp Wayne Jones said: "Following the incident we have spoken to most of the people who lived in and around the premises where Mr Brown was found dead.

"We are still yet to locate Michael Herrington and we want to trace him as part of our investigation.

"We need to establish where he is, that he is safe and well and whether he has any information that can help our inquiries."
