M6 congestion after two separate rush hour incidents

There have been delays and stationary traffic on the M6 motorway after two separate incidents during rush hour.

Two southbound lanes were shut for two hours between junctions seven and eight after a motorcyclist fell off his bike, motorway police said.

The accident happened at 07:30 GMT. A spokesman said the condition of the rider is not yet known.

A lane that was closed at junction 10 after a lorry broke down on the slip road has also reopened.
