Child trapped in Solihull pizza shop dough machine

A five-year-old boy fractured his knuckles when his hand was caught in equipment at a Solihull pizza shop, West Midlands Ambulance Service said.

The boy got trapped in a dough-making machine on Gospel Lane, Olton, at 21:20 GMT on Sunday.

A fire service spokeswoman said "small tools" were used to free three of the child's fingers from bread rollers.

The boy was taken by ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital. Solihull Council is investigating.
