Wolverhampton woman in court over John Fletcher murder

A woman has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death in her flat.

Caroline Loweth, 49, is accused of killing John Fletcher, from Wolverhampton.

Mr Fletcher, 53, was found with a fatal knife wound at the apartment in Market Square in the city centre on Sunday. He died at the scene.

Ms Loweth was remanded in custody by magistrates in Wolverhampton, to appear at the city's crown court on Wednesday.

Police said family liaison officers were supporting Mr Fletcher's family.
