West Midlands Police officer denies sex with child

A police officer has denied engaging in sexual activity with a child.

Christopher Semak, 33, from Kings Norton in Birmingham, was suspended by the West Midlands force in April 2012.

He faces five counts of engaging in sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16 from April 2010 to November 2011.

The offences were alleged to have taken place while he was off duty. A trial at Stafford Crown Court started on Monday and is scheduled to last two weeks.
