Police name man killed in Sutton Coldfield collision

A "loving father and grandfather" killed in a Sutton Coldfield collision on New Year's Day has been named by police.

Mick Miller, 78, was hit by a Renault Clio on Mere Green Road near to Sainsbury's about 18:00 GMT.

He was taken to Good Hope Hospital with serious injuries and died a short time later.

His family paid tribute to him as "a keen gardener and an avid train enthusiast".

Police have appealed for witnesses.
