Fatal head injuries of man found in Moseley a 'mystery'

Fatal head injuries suffered by a man found unconscious in a street have been described by police as a "mystery".

Phillip Floyd was discovered by a couple in Forest Road in Moseley, Birmingham, just before 22:00 GMT on 28 January. He died in hospital.

Officers said they did not know what caused the injuries and have released CCTV of possible witnesses.

Meanwhile, Mr Floyd's family have paid tribute to a "loving son, brother, uncle and partner".

A statement said: "His death has left us all devastated. We appeal to the public to help us at our time of loss to find out what has happened.

"We thank the couple who found Phillip and their efforts along with the police and medical teams to help him.

"If anyone has any information, however small please contact the police so we can move forward and lay Phillip to rest."
