Man in court over fatal Handsworth stabbing

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 55-year-old man on a Birmingham street.

Leon Davis died in hospital from multiple stab wounds after an attack on Thornhill Road, Handsworth, on 31 January.

Adum Osman, 36, who was detained under the Mental Health Act in February, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

He was remanded in custody until a hearing on August 22.
