Lorraine Sheridan dies after being hit by a lorry in Wednesbury

A woman has died 19 days after being hit by a lorry on a pedestrian crossing.

Lorraine Sheridan, 62, was struck on High Bullen, Wednesbury and died on Wednesday.

Police said the lorry driver had been helping with inquiries. Officers appealed for witnesses to the collision at 10.40 BST on 30 May to contact them.

PC Adam Green said: "We need to provide answers for the family of Lorraine and our sympathies are with them."
