Ex teacher Marcus Marcussen denies sex offences

A former PE teacher has denied a string of sexual offences against pupils dating back to the 1950s.

Marcus Marcussen, 91, pleaded not guilty to 28 counts of indecent assault and two of indecency with a child.

The offences are alleged to have been carried out between 1957 and 1978 at Ilmington Road Comprehensive School in Weoley Castle, Birmingham.

Mr Marcussen, of Rochford, near Tenbury Wells, was released on bail after a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.

A trial has been scheduled for 19 January.
