Glynis Bensley death: Boy in court charged with Smethwick murder
A 13-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman.
Glynis Bensley, 47, was found dead in Cheshire Road, Smethwick, on 3 September. Post mortem tests showed she died from a head injury.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reason, appeared at Sandwell Magistrates' Court and was remanded to secure accommodation.
He is expected to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
The teenager spoke only to confirm his name and address.
A 14-year-old boy arrested last week remains on conditional bail, West Midlands Police said.
