Glynis Bensley murder suspect appears in court

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman in a West Midlands street.

Zoheb Majib 20, of Cheshire Road, Smethwick is accused of killing Glynis Bensley, found dead on 3 September.

Mr Majib, who was arrested in Highgate, Birmingham on Thursday, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court.

Mrs Bensley's body was found in Cheshire Road, Smethwick. Post-mortem tests showed she died from a head injury.

A 13-year-old boy appeared in court on Thursday charged with her murder.

West Midlands Police said a 14-year-old boy remains on conditional bail.

A 21-year-old man arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of assisting an offender has also been released on bail pending further enquiries, police said.
