A child has been taken to hospital after reportedly falling from a first floor window of a council home in Tipton, Sandwell Council has said.

The air ambulance attended but the injured child was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital by road.

The council's deputy leader, Mahboob Hussain, said: "We are aware of an incident involving a child reportedly falling from a first floor window at a council home this morning.
