Firearms charges after Tipton robberies

Two boys have been charged with firearms offences after an investigation into a string of robberies across Tipton.

Four people handed over cash and mobile phones after being threatened with what appeared to be a handgun in separate encounters, police said.

Two boys, aged 15 and 14, were arrested after the incidents on Thursday.

They have been charged with robbery and two counts of possession of an imitation firearm.
