Birmingham chip shop stabbing suspect arrested

A man has been arrested in Edgbaston on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in a chip shop, police said.

The victim, 51, was stabbed several times at Simply Fish and Chips in Hagley Road West, Quinton.

West Midlands Police said he was being "cared for by family" as he recovers from his injuries. A 28-year-old man is currently in custody.

A £2,000 reward for information was offered by Crimestoppers after the attack on 7 November.
