Large fire breaks out at derelict Hockley factory

A large fire has broken out at a derelict factory in Birmingham.

About 30 firefighters were sent to Barr Street in Hockley at about 15:45 BST after fire crews received a 999 call.

West Midlands Police has closed the street in both directions at the junction with Harford Street. Drivers are warned of rush hour delays in the area.

A brick building measuring 15 by 40 metres is alight, the fire service said. There are no reports of injuries.
