Murder probe after man found stabbed in Birmingham park

The death of a man found injured in a city park is being treated as murder by police.

The 34-year-old victim was found with stab wounds in the park in Handsworth, Birmingham just after 10:20 BST, West Midlands Police said

He was taken to hospital, from Waverhill Park, near Waverhill Road, but died shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place later and the park has been sealed off for forensic investigations.

Det Insp Shaun Egan, from West Midlands Police, said CCTV footage was also being examined.
