'Key suspect' sought in Kenichi Phillips murder probe

Detectives investigating the death of a teenager in a drive-by shooting are searching for a "key suspect".

Officers want to speak to Isaiah Wright-Young, 36, from the Birmingham area, over the death of 18-year-old Kenichi Phillips on 17 March.

"The public are urged not to approach Wright-Young if seen but to call 999 immediately," a police spokesman said.

Two people have been charged with murdering Kenichi, who was shot while sitting in a car in Ladywood.

West Midlands Police said people could 999 with urgent information or call 101.

Det Insp Jim Munro said: "It's important we locate Isaiah Wright-Young as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with any information about his whereabouts to contact us."
