Man trapped against wall after Birmingham crash

A man trapped between a car and a wall following a crash in Birmingham has "life-threatening" injuries.

Two cars were involved in the crash at the junction of Bishopsgate Street and Tennant Street just before midnight on Tuesday.

The injured man, 34, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said he is in a critical but stable condition.

A man who was in the car which hit the wall was taken to hospital with a serious hand injury.

Seven people were in the second vehicle involved in the crash.

Five were assessed and discharged at the scene.

A 24-year-old was taken to Sandwell Hospital with an injury to his left leg, along with a 21-year-old woman who suffered injuries to her face and right arm.
