Teenage motorcyclist dies after Wolverhampton crash

A 15-year-old boy has died after the motorbike he was riding with another teenager was in collision with a car.

Kian Buckler was on the bike with a 16-year-old when it was in a crash with a car in Bilston, Wolverhampton.

It happened at about 19:00 GMT on Wednesday at the junction of Lunt Road and Boswell Road. Kian, from Bilston, died in hospital on Friday.

The 16-year-old has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. And the driver of the car has been jailed.

Kian's mother Tina Richards described her son as a "cheeky chappie who was full of life".

"Losing my beautiful son has left a massive hole in my heart," she said.

The 16-year-old, who was injured in the crash and cannot be identified for legal reasons, was also charged with driving without a licence or insurance and failing to provide a sample.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on 6 December.

Jamaine Lindo, 37, of Lunt Road, Bilston, who was driving the Toyota Auris involved in the collision, admitted driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

At Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday, he was jailed for eight weeks.
