Man admits causing woman's Erdington crash death

A 29-year-old man has admitted killing a woman by careless driving.

Claire Mackenzie was found collapsed in Sutton New Road, Erdington, Birmingham, early on 11 November 2016, after being struck by a vehicle. The 35-year-old died at the scene.

At Birmingham Crown Court earlier, Tomas Marcinkus, of Second Avenue, Low Hill, Wolverhampton, admitted causing death by careless driving. A charge of death by dangerous driving was dropped.

He is due to be sentenced in January.
