Detectives have been granted further time to question eight men over the death of a Polish lorry driver who had been transporting televisions.

The men were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of manslaughter and robbery over the death of Bogdan Bartczak.

The body of the 57-year-old was found in Vale Road, Netherton, West Midlands, on 1 November.

Magistrates have given officers an extension to continue questioning the men until Saturday morning.

A post-mortem examination failed to determine the cause of his death and police were waiting for the results of further tests.

The lorry was found at an industrial estate in West Bromwich.

West Midlands police were still trying to find the lorry's load of LG 47in (119cm) flat-screen LCD TVs and want anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
