Suspicious package closes Walsall's bus station
Walsall bus station has been evacuated after a suspicious package was found outside the town's job centre.
Bomb disposal experts were called to Hatherton Road on Monday afternoon after which the cordon was extended to 300 metres (984ft).
The town's train station was part of the extended cordon and services coming in or heading out north were affected on Monday evening, police said.
National Express staff were advising passengers, Centro said.
A spokesman for Centro said: "All north Walsall bus services are terminating at Stafford Street and all services entering via Bridge Street are turning at the Arboretum lights, although the 51 service is exiting via its normal route.
"Staff from the bus station and National Express West Midlands plus Police Community Support Officers are assisting passengers on how best to continue their journeys."
