Man held over bus driver attack at Merry Hill centre

A man has been arrested after a bus driver was slashed across the face during a dispute at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre in the Black Country.

Police were called to the shopping centre bus station in Dudley at about 1000 GMT on Wednesday.

The driver suffered slash wounds to his face and arm during the incident. A man was detained by security guards and later arrested, police said.

Part of the station is cordoned off but services are unaffected, they added.
